Lincoln at 7 Weeks Old

Lincoln was seven weeks old on Wednesday. I cannot believe it! He is growing so fast, and I feel like he changes so much every day. We have a doctors appointment on the 30th so I will get his official weight then. But, I have weighed him on our little scale at home (I will weigh myself holding him and then not holding him) and he is somewhere between 14 and 15 lbs! That is the size of most 4-5 month old babies. He is so fun to be around, and is especially happy in the morning when he wakes up. He loves getting his diaper changed and everytime you put him in a clean diaper he starts smiling so big and tries "talking" to you. It is so cute! He is really starting to build his neck muscles. I tried putting him in the Bumbo the other day...he isn't quite ready for it yet but will be very soon. Also, this week Sheridan and I were able to go see a movie with him! I was so surprised at how well he did! I thought I was definitely going to have to go stand in the hallway and calm him down at some point. But, we went to a later movie, so he slept through nearly the entire thing. I bundled him up in my moby wrap and had a blanket over his head to muffle the noise. He woke up twice to eat, but didn't make a peep! Because we don't know too many people out here, it is nice to know we can take him places. Here are some fun pictures I took the last few days.

I love this cute little outfit! Just two weeks ago it was way too big and now the shirt is almost too small!

This little guy just loves his swing SO much. Oh also, in an earlier post I had mentioned that the motor in the swing went out. Well, Sheridan fixed it the other night and now our swing works again! Yay!

Sheridan was taking a nap and I wanted some pictures with the little guy, so I tried taking them myself. As you can see from my cut off head, it didn't work out too well! :)

Lincoln is SO stinking cute in this swing. He just loves staring at those bears and gets so happy when he is in his swing.

Lincoln the Camera Ham

This evening was one of those times that you just love being a parent!! Part of our evening "routine" is bathtime. Lincoln LOVES being in the water, and it is another thing I can do if he is getting too fussy. I just recently started giving him little "baby massages" when he gets out of the bath with a little bit of lotion. Tonight he was so adorable. First I started singing the "head, shoulders, knees and toes" song and he just started smiling so big!! Then, I started rubbing his little legs and feet and he was cooing non-stop. It was the cutest thing ever!! So, I put his pajamas on him and he wanted to eat for a while. After he was done eating, he usually likes me to prop him up on my legs (with his bum and legs resting on my stomach) so he use my legs for head support but can still see what is going on and what Sheridan and I are doing. He was still in such a good mood and was just "talking" away! It was so cute that I grabbed my camera and tried to capture the moment with a few pictures.

Here he was giving us a big cheesy grin, and of course, sticking his tongue out (his new favorite thing)!

These next three pictures are a little dark. My camera tends to go blurry right when I want to get a cute shot. Usually it's because he swings his head when he smiles. So, I put my camera on an "action shot" setting, but unfortunately you can't use the flash with this setting.

This is the face he makes a lot when he is "talking". He mostly just says "goooo"

It is hard to really get this to show in pictures, but he has got two of the cutest little dimples on each of his cheeks! You can kind of see one here.

He was so excited for so long and I loved it!! But, I think we just wore him out. He passed out while he was resting on his little arm. So sweet!

LOTS of Pictures

Ok Ok I know there are a LOT of pictures here and you may think many of them look the same but I just couldn't help myself! His expression changes a little bit with each one and I just have too much fun taking pictures of my little guy :) Plus, we have been cooped up in the house because of weather. What better way to pass the time then to take pictures! :)

These darker ones were taken in his swing. He just loves this swings and loves staring up at the bear mobile. Unfortunately, yesterday the motor went out in the swing! Guess my great Craigslist deal wasn't such a great deal after all. He still enjoys being in it though so we just manually push him.

Lincoln recently discovered his tongue and it is so cute!! He sticks his tongue out all the time.
